From Burgundy to Paris, or Disney first? Plus Eurostar query

Our family will have a few days in Burgundy with a car. Not sure yet whether we drive close to Paris, or drop car and train in. (train fares x 5 may be a factor if trains are expensive)

We plan to have 4-5 days in Paris and 2 days in Euro disney, before catching the Eurostar to London.

So firstly ..does it make more sense to go to Paris first, or Disney?

Is the Eurostar more expensive from Disney? I was able to find the fares from Paris, but not from Disney.

How far ahead can you book on Eurostar, and as the fare for our family was over 850 Euro, any tips for better deals.

All thoughts appreciated.

I%26#39;d think the logic with a group of travellers is to keep the car and travel to Disneyland then drop it somewhere nearby. You can get the RER into Paris for your stay there, then travel on by Eurostar to London.

The advantage of travelling from Paris is that there are regular trains, whereas I think the direct trains to London from DLP are rare - there is a notice on the Eurostar site that the direct service will only operate during UK school holidays. I%26#39;ve just checked the February 13th half-term date and find the Saturday service from Disney to London (leave 19:37 - arrive 21:12) priced £85 for an adult. The one-way fare for trains from Paris on the same date is £40.

Bookings open about 4 months/120 days out (I can never remember exactly - just keep trying until it lets you book!)

Thanks Diz- as long as I can do a car drop off near Disney that makes sense.

I was delighted to see your Eurostar price compared to what I found. My mistake is I was putting in dates for next week as April dates aren%26#39;t open yet. But next week only shows one fare-%26quot;Fully Flexible%26quot; fares- expensive. The lesson there I guess is to book early enough to get the cheaper , less flexible fares.

Can you believe it- have just figured out that we would then arrive at Disney in the last couple of days of School holidays which I presume will be peak time. How frustrating -thought I had it sorted, and was ready to start looking for accommodation.

May start a new post about Disney eg will we now just go to Paris for longer and travel out to Disney on 2 days instead of staying there(when school hols are over) or is it not that busy?

The parks are all, always, very crowded during school breaks.

Righto then. It will have to be Burgundy -%26gt;Paris-%26gt; commute to Disney-%26gt; Eurostar. Thanks for your help- time to find an apartment now!

You don%26#39;t say what dates you%26#39;re going to be in France - checking a few LEAs near me in the UK, their Easter holidays are a couple of weeks anywhere from 26/03 to 18/04 while the French school %26#39;vacances de Paques%26#39; appear to go on forever: calendrier-scolaire-dates-vacances-scolaires…

If it%26#39;s going to be busy, you could find out more about fast access passes (whatever they are called at DLP) which may be worthwhile if it%26#39;s busy - they are very knowledgeable on the Marne-la-Vallée forum if you ask there.
