Ski Guide/Instructor

Hello all,

I have booked a one-week family holiday in Tignes, which will take place late in March next year. My wife, son and I would like to do some challenging off-piste skiing for a few days. Do you recommend any specific Ski-Guides/Instructors that we could use?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Austin,

I don%26#39;t know any particular instructor in Tignes but they are all very professional.

Have a look at

tignes.net/en/ski-a-tignes/skiing-snowboardi…

and oontat the skiing school, you%26#39;ll be able to hire an individual ski guide for your groupe

One school in particular is great :

You can hire a ski instructor/guide for one day for your group (max 6 people), cost : 340 €

check out accommodationinthealps.co.uk/skischool.htm for more information

there are several private ski schools these days :

Thanks very much brasero.

I%26#39;ll have a look at your links.

To be honest though, when it comes to ski-guides, I prefer to use the locals as they have the best experience of the terrain and, in my experience, are more passionate about their ski domain.

...and I%26#39;m happy to muddle through with the language. Coming from South Africa, where we have 14 official languages, I%26#39;m used to it! ;-)

Thanks again for taking the time.

Cheers,

Austin

If you want a local guide then the Ecole de Ski de France will be your obvious port of call. Their website for Tignes is here:

Cheers,

Austin
