We recently spent 4 days in Bayeux. We (me, wife, father in law, and 2 kids, ages 12 and 13) stayed at the Hotel Churchill. We arrived on Tuesday afternoon via train from Paris and checked in to the hotel. Bayeux is very beautiful and quite charming. It was a great break from Paris where we had spent the previous 5 days. We went to the cathedral and were amazed that a town the size of Bayeux would have such a large church. It was quite spectacular, and we enjoyed that you could explore more of the church than comparable churches in Paris or London. We then went to the Bayeux tapestry and the war museum and the English cemetery (all within walking distance of the Churchill).The next two days we spent with Battlebus and the American Highlights tour and the Band of brothers tour. These both were incredible and would highly recommend them . They were the highlight of our trip. We finished up our trip with a day in Mont St. Michel , which was awe inspiring!. I know that I sound like everything was incredible, but it was.

We had time for only one day with Battlebus, but we could have easily enjoyed a second tour.

We just returned to Paris after two days in Bayeux, and the Battlebus American Highlights tour was awesome. Sean, our tourguide was extremely personable and knowlegeable. Put on your best walking shoes, as your going to need them.

And Sean is sooooooo cute too.
