Hi,
off to Paris early December and want to use a hop on hop off bus( 2 day pass).
Is there more than one bus company?
Which is the best one?
How much ?
What times do they start and finish?
I have seen pics of a yellow open top bus, but open top may not be that great in December if its raining.

pariscityrama.com/files/…OPENTOUR.pdf seems the most popular, it has the most stops. I think it%26#39;s €29 for 1 day, 32 for 2 but you%26#39;d need to check.
It%26#39;s open top - but it has an inside too.

as far as I know there are 2 companies who operate open top buses. there may be more.you have to check.
the la open tour (light green) and red buses. both with open top.
i took la open tour (light green buses) 2 weeks ago. that has 4 routes, covering almost all paris. you can hop on and off at any place on any route. also, it has a commentary in few languages.
tickets - 1 day - EUR 29
2 day - EUR 32
tickets are available with the driver, you can buy on-line as well.
Usually, they start around 9.00am ans runs up to 6.00pm
but, u have to chk with drivers about the finish. operating times are different in winter.
honestly, i don%26#39;t know much about red buses.

There are two(2) different operators that offer %26#39;hop-on/hop-off%26#39; double-decker, bus tour services in Paris--
L%26#39;OPEN TOURS--(yellow/lime-green buses)--
www.ratp.info/touristes/index.php…
Les CARS ROUGES--(red buses)--
http://www.carsrouges.com/content/
Of the two operators, L%26#39;OPEN TOURS offers the best %26#39;coverage%26#39; of the city, with more stops along four(4), interconnected, freely transferable, %26#39;..circuits..%26#39;.
Both offer one and two day (continuous, 24 hour period from ticket purchase) passes. You pay with cash or credit card as you board the bus for the first time.

l%26#39;open tour(run by grey line), now has a 3 day hop on/off option, that also includes their river boats. If you have AAA, you can get a discount. We paid online before we left for Paris, and printed out the receipt. Give it to the tour bus operator, and they will give you a 3 day ticket. For the 3 days it was about $49/pp with the discount.
|||
I am a AAA member too, which site did you get your 3 day ticket from?
|||
Liverpool, definitely go for the two day pass which includes the batobus (the boat), as you will see so much, and when your feel are tired you can spend some lovely time just cruising along on the boat. We found it a great way to see lots the first time we went to Paris - enough to help us decide our order of priorities for more in-depth visits.

Good suggestion except for the fact that the Batobus does not operate in December or January.
