If you are in Paris now or heading that way in the next few days you might want to head over there...

i don%26#39;t know about the contempoy art sale but we went to both the art show and the antique shows run by the same people this may both shows weregreat (we went a total of 5 times) good fun and well worth the trip we will go back next may

Bumping for anybody who might have missed it...

I live at the port at the Bastille and have to walk through the art show to get home, and even though I only pass a few booths on the way to my stairs, I have already found paintings that are calling my name. Unfortunately, we bought 700 liters of white fuel today, so that has cut into my purchasing power. If you think it is expensive to fill up your car, you should try filling a 2,200 liter tank. (We also have a separate red fuel tank for our household heat that we will have to top up several times during winter, so it is not looking good for my art purchases.)

Both shows, contemporary art followed by antiques, come around every Spring and Fall and we always enjoy taking a tour around the booths which wrap all the way around our port.

I really want that water color of Pont Neuf that I saw yesterday :-)

we managed to restrict ourselves to two small prints and an oilpainting but we%26#39;ll be back next may it really is worth a visit if for no other reason than watching the dealers have lunch

cheers
