I%26#39;ve tried to find feedback (good or bad) on PARIS ATTITUDE but didn%26#39;t come up with much. I%26#39;ve looked and looked at all the ones mentioned vrbo, perfectlyparis, lodgis but none i want are available for my dates.
Paris Attitude has a high security deposit and I wanted to see if anyone has worked with them before. Good or bad experience?
One rental I%26#39;m looking at for 1 week. They emailed with the following:
975 Euros including the agency fee. There is also a refundable security deposit of 750 Euros that you get back at the end of your stay.
A high deposit. Electricity %26amp; gas are included in the price. It wouldn%26#39;t concern me as much if they didn%26#39;t bill my card but only held the number. I emailed them specifically to ask.
Any advice, suggestions? Should I try to pay by credit card? What would be 2nd choice of payment that would be best to protect myself? Thanks in advance

honestly, i did have a not so pleasant experience... mostly becuase of the owners of the apt, which may not affect you, though these owners own about 20 apts offered on paris attitude.
their agency fees are also insane, and though these fees are common in paris... lodigs, whom i am using this year is a bit cheeper.
try sublet.com for no fee... but look around... if paris attitude has the best deal going on, than it wouldnt hurt... they services they offered me were good, its just the owners they dealt with that tried to jip me for 150 euro by lying that I lost their key when I left and they had to replace the door lock is what ticked me off. thankfully i didnt end up paying it... (they said they let it go to not get into an overseas argument)

sublet.com charges a fee. i only see 1 listing that may work but dont want to pay the $20 just to ask a question...and see it isn%26#39;t available. I will check around some more. thanks

Got to agree with the girl who got ripped off. I got ripped off for broken door (must be a good one) broken stereo (never used) and a whole bunch of stuff to the tune of about 200E. I too had a high security deposit. The problem that I found was that the security deposit is in the hands of the owner not the agency and that leaves the agency, Paris Attititude, in a bad place with disputes as the owners can rip off money and they are powerless to do anything. It would be better if Paris Attitude had the deposit and could settle disputes. In my case they tried but the owner produced no evidence of damage and got away with it.

We are renting from Isabelle : www.apartment-in-france.com
you might want to look to see if she has anything available. So far she has been great to work with. But we have not actually seen the unit yet. But we love the location.

Paris Attitude is the equivalent to a date service for apartments. Paris Attitude (at least in some cases) has no agreement or contact with the apartment owner prior to the transaction initiated by the customer (you). By this I mean that they work similar to a Real Estate agent. They keep a database of known apartments available for short and long term rent. Once you inquire about an apartment, they will set up the contact and documents to sign between you and the owner. They will charge you the agent fee upfront and after that you are essentially on your own to deal with the owner yourself. This arrangement can be good with the right owner. The probability of error in the apartment description from Paris Attitude is fairly high (so confirm any important details with the owner). Also, if things go %26quot;south%26quot; between you and the owner our experience has been that Paris Attitude is of little assistance. Best of luck with them and keep in mind their name..... Paris Attitude.... need I say more?

Check out these entries on Parisattitude and www.parisaddress.com and read the rental conditions.
When reading www.parisaddress.com note that I have not been charged a %26quot;security%26quot; deposit either on the rental in October 2006 or the one I have later this year. Note also that a friend cancelled on www.parisaddress.com after a couple of weeks and the administration charge (it was some months before the start date) was a reasonable 50 Euros.
Check out the 500 increase per week in the rental price for the same place that is rented by www.parisaddress.com and then add Parisattitude%26#39;s very steep security deposit and higher deposit. My opinion is avoid parisattitude!

I have no had such a negative experience. However, we aren%26#39;t in Paris yet! So far, booking my apartment has been easy, and the agency fee was about 120E. I already paid that and half the rent - I think we got a great deal. We are renting for a week in the Rud Montorgueil area for 400E. The owner is very professional and I found out online that he is an international lawyer, so I am hoping he will not try to rip us off! The reviews from previous renters were excellent of the landlord, so I think it will be okay. I will let you know how it goes when we get back!
