I%26#39;ve been looking at some apartments on %26#39;parisaddress%26#39; for 2 adults and 2 children. Am wondering if anyone has stayed at any of the following - BAIL6 (Louvre/Opera), VAN38 (St Germaine) or CHAR115 (Gare de Lyon). I know they are probably small, however our main concerns are comfortable beds and a %26#39;safe%26#39; area.

Hello, we haven%26#39;t stayed at those apartments but just to let you know. Paris Address is a reliable and reputable company.
Ask as many questions as you need to get your answers. They will answer you.

I have also used Paris Address and found that %26#39;what you see is what you get%26#39; on their website. All these areas are %26#39;safe%26#39;, but the first two are more upmarket and it%26#39;s easy to walk to places of interest from either (just strolling is the best way to spend time in Paris in my opinion).

Everywhere in central Paris is safe, so don%26#39;t worry about that when choosing where to stay.

Thanks for the info. I%26#39;ve now booked an apartment through %26#39;Parisadress%26#39;. The agency has been very helpful and prompt. We aren%26#39;t going for a few months, but will let you know how we got on when we return.

Hi Lloyd 49.
Have you been to Paris yet? If so, what was your experience with Paris Address like? We%26#39;re going to be there in May and like the look of one of their St Germain apartments but am very dubious about some of these agencies after reading some of the horror stories here, so any comments would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Gee Bee, I stayed with www.parisaddress.com in October 2006 and September 2008. The flats were as shown on the website and I had only good experiences with the agency. I have referred a couple of friends to them also and they were happy with the apartment and their dealings with the agency were satisfactory on all scores

Hi GeeBee2
We are in Paris at the moment and are having a great time. We ended up choosing an apt. in the 7th arrond. It%26#39;s just around the corner from the Eiffel Tower and is very comfortable and a great location. I really like the area. Some think it is a little quiet, but it is perfect for a family. There are some good food shops nearby for self-catering, and the local market is just wonderful. We have found the parisaddress co. fine to deal with so far. Will let you know if there are any problems. Kind regards.

to lloyd 49: is it the BRANLY flat you are living in?

Hi Faux and Lloyd,
Your posts are good news to my ears as I really like the look of one of the Paris Address apartments. We particularly want to stay in St Germain this time, having stayed in the 1st, the 5th and the 7th previously, and they have an apartment which just fits the bill. I%26#39;m ready to be stoned for saying this but I%26#39;m avoiding anything which has a ceiling covered in oak beams - I want a ceiling which is white, one which my husband is not going to bang his head on, and one which I%26#39;m not going to spend hours examining for cobwebs. Paris Address has a really clean, streamlined - okay, it doesn%26#39;t fit the imagine of traditional Paris - apartment on Rue Odeon which seems to tick every box. And having fallen down some stairs in Hong Kong 3 years ago end ending up with multiple fractures, an elevator is pretty high on the list of %26quot;must haves%26quot; once you go above the 1st (US 2nd) floor. Plus, after walking around all day trying to absorb as much of Paris as possible, I don%26#39;t need six flights of stairs between me and my bottle of red.
There is also an apartment through VRBO which appeals (it%26#39;s also on a couple of other sites - owned by an American lady called Sally, it%26#39;s in Rue de Seine), one through VIP (loft apartment on Rue des Arts - too noisy?), and a rather colourful looking one through another American agency, France Homestyle, is on Rue Solferino. Any thoughts on those agencies or locations would be most welcome.
Cheers.

hi Geebee, sorry apart from knowing that VRBO is a site for owners to use to advertise I can%26#39;t give any additional insight on it or the other sites you mentioned.
