Direct trains from Lille to Tours

Hi all...its Oct 20th. It would appear that the current schedule shows 2 direct trains a day. Anyone know if this will change in June, what happened this past summer?

Thanks Bob from Alberta.

It is unliely that there will be fewer trains between Lille and Tours (or St Pierre des Corps) next summer or substantially more. Check again when the new timetables start in December.

Hi -

There are actually several trains each day that aren%26#39;t routed through Paris. They go through a local station in Tours on their way to the Central one, so technically, they aren%26#39;t direct, but they%26#39;re close. Check out www.sncf.com and select the Voyage billboard in the upper right corner. Don%26#39;t opt for English so you%26#39;ll remain on the SNCF site.

There are currently four trains a day going direct (as opposed to via Paris)from Lille to Tours, at 7:59, 12:38, 14:47, and 17:29.

These trains actually stop at St Pierre des Corps, which is the mainline station for Tours. There is a free shuttle train for the five minute journey into Tours Central station.

Thanks very much everyone, that is the kinda info I was hoping for. The link www.sncf.com does not work here by the looks of it. Strange?

Try

http://www.voyages-sncf.com/

This is the SNCF site for trains, as opposed to the corporate site. It is however in French

Merci, moi je parle francais!!

Actually, you need very little knowledge of French to check schedules and make bookings on www.voyages-sncf.com. Horaires is Timetables and apart from that it is mainly putting in station names and dates (remember it is day/month/year). .
