Hotels /locations suggestions

Any suggestions for hotels %26amp;/or locations in Paris....centrally located to Champs Elysee, Seine etc...

Thanks

The Champs Elysees are a place to visit once, but isn%26#39;t that great for hotels and restaurants, cafes etc. as the super high real estate in that area inflate all the prices.

Thanks to the metro you aren%26#39; t far from anywhere wherever you stay.

The Marais, Latin Quarter and St Germain-des-Pres are favored by many experienced posters from the US. Other posters like the North side of the 18th, the 11th and 12th districts etc.

The Seine crosses Paris in the center, from East to West, so you are a 30 minutes walk from it, at most, from many many places.

Most people want to stay as %26#39;central%26#39; as possible, with a caveat that there is no such things as being close to %26#39;all%26#39; the sites. When you shop for hotels, one thing to notice is the %26#39;post code%26#39; - the last 2 digits = arrondissement. The more central arrondissements are 01, 04, 05, 06, 07... Check the Paris maps for an understanding of the layout of arrondissements. Pay more attention to the post code than any hyperbole such as %26quot;a step away from the Eiffel Tower%26quot; or %26quot;in the heart of the Marais%26quot;.

The proportion of high-end to low-end hotels tends to reverse the further away from the Seine you go. In other words, many moderate-to-expensive hotels close to Seine with few budget options, while many more budget options in the outer arrondissements (of course, some exceptions to this statement).

You can utilize the TA Hotels section by filtering out a certain %26#39;area%26#39; then reading the comments, make a short list, start digging into it. You have asked for suggestions - the Reviews will lead you to many good possibilities.
