Although I haven%26#39;t finished ironing all the clothes from my last trip yet, I%26#39;m putting serious thought into the March trip, 19 weeks and 4 days. I%26#39;d appreciate some comments about hotels.
It was absolutely fine out at Bastille but this time I%26#39;m looking in a circle round the Sevres-Babylone mo station. Basically I want to be able to walk to Au Sauvignon (corner of Sevres and des Saints Peres) for breakfast every day.
I paid €135 pn night at Pavillon Bastille and that is really my max, I%26#39;m more than happy to go lower.
I don%26#39;t care about the size of the lift or the bedroom or the bathroom; I find street noise soothing.
I%26#39;m inclining to the area between Tour Montparnasse to Jardin du Luxembourg.
I%26#39;ve considered:
Hotel de la Paix Montparnasse - 225 Bd Raspail 75014
Central Hotel Paris - 1 bis Rue du Maine 75014 (a bit farther south but cheap!)
Hotel du Parc Paris - 6 Rue Jolivet 75014 (ditto)
Hotel Raspail - 203 Bd Raspail 75014
Villa Modigliani - 13 Rue Delambre 75014 - doesn%26#39;t seem to have its own website?
I%26#39;d appreciate suggestions about the area from wise ones who know.
Thanks.

Well this got to be the most amazing replies so far!!! different people, very same review, word to word! guess this is one hotel I would NOT recommend!....and they gush about the 6th wen you are looking at hotels in the 14th...
you want to walk to the corner of rue de Sevres/ St Peres in the 7th yet look at hotels a longish walk away..don%26#39;t forget that March weather is dreadful more often than not .
For my money I much prefer le Marais..I am sure that you can find a lot of great little cafes there..

Hi Ailidh,
I am totally stymied - cval2003 and ItalyAdriano07 have recommended the same hotel ,word to word.
Doppelganger effect ?
Any comments by either of these two ?

I wish I knew what #6 said - a third boost for said hotel?
Unless this is some odd computer glitch, it looks like blatant self-promotion. Naughty. Do properties get a warning from TA for this kind of thing?
Anyway, outside my price bracket, and I would go Very hungry before I%26#39;d eat veal.
14 or 6, I don%26#39;t mind, I just don%26#39;t think I can afford much in 6.
I take the point about distance, I was looking at about a 20 minutes%26#39; walk radius but maybe I%26#39;ll look closer.
Thanks for the real replies. ;D

#6 was me messing around - I reposted 3CONILS%26#39;s post word-for-word but decided it wasn%26#39;t very funny.
As for the identical posts, I reported them as %26#39;Multiple screen names%26#39;; let TA sort it out.

oo you tease, you.

And I reported them all for advertising!
