Nice to Catania

Can someone please advise the best way to get from Nice to Catania, can you get a train from Nice to Rome [ how long ] and then a connecting flight from Rome. Thanks in advance

Train from Nice to Rome takes at least 9.5 hours and requires at least one change of train. See http://trenitalia.it/homepage_en.html for times from Nice Ville station, using a date before December 13 when timetables change - later times are not yet available.

The nearest place to get a direct flight to Catania is Genoa, three hours away from Nice by train (two per day are direct) - see same site for times. You would also need the airport bus www.airport.genova.it/v2/index.php… Air One do the flight.

Or you could fly to Rome Fiumicino from Nice by blu-express, and on from there by the same airline.

Other airlines also fly to Catania from Rome, and from a variety of other airports in northern italy.
