Hi
We are heading to Paris on Thursday 29th Oct by Eurostar and returning on 1st Nov. Staying in Novotel Paris Gare de Lyon.
Looking for some fun activities, restaurants, etc.
Our two daughters are aged 13 and 15.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

The department store Galleries Lafayette has a fashion show every Friday afternoon. The tickets are free...you just have to log onto their website to request them. if your girls like fashion, they might enjoy this.
I will be in Paris from the 28 October -1 November. i am going to the fashion show on the 30 November.

Chartier restaurant is fun. The food isn%26#39;t remotely haute cuisine but they do decent steaks, roast chicken, ec and the place is great - late 19th century vast room, huge mirrors, waiters like Rene in Allo, %26#39;Allo who write your order on the paper tablecloth. You may have to share a table. I love it and try and get there whenever I go to Paris, even if only for lunch. They have a website.

Thanks for that.
How does one get tickets in advance?
I have beem on their site and can%26#39;t appear to see the link.

I%26#39;ll be back to my office in about an hour. I%26#39;ll find the link for you then.

The link for the website is:
…galerieslafayette.com/international/…
In the center of the page is a link to the info for the fashion show. I have read several trip reports of people who have really enjoyed it. It sounds like something teenage girls would like.
It took a day or two to get a response.
Let me know if you go on the 30 October. I might run into you!

Hi -
Hand your daughters a guide book to read and see what interests them the most. Based on my experiences with my daughters at that age, shopping is the first thing that comes to mind, but you may be surprised by what they have to say.

we%26#39;ve just returned from Paris - having been there from the 19th September for a few days and one of the best things we did was the Bike About Tour www.bikeabouttours.com - you%26#39;ll see them recommended throughout TA. We went with our daughters who are 11 and 14 and they both loved it. I had heard that they have just been voted one of the top things to do in Paris by Lonely Planet. if they are still open at this time of the year I%26#39;d highly recommend you give them a go but you%26#39;ll need to book.

Thanks so much for your help.
Put the idea to my daughters who were thrilled at the idea.
I e mailed store, but unfiortunately all booked up.
Will get in earlier next time!!
Have a good time in Paris yourself, we certainly intend to.
My wife and I have been before but first time for our daughters.
