altho we have booked 3 days at disney, we are sacrificing one to go to lille...
so we either go calais - lille then drive down to disney late monday night, or we go calais to disney and get up really early on the wed morning to drive to lille for the day. Are mondays or wed generally quieter in disney?
also if we don%26#39;t arrive til late monday night, would we be able to use the vouchers from that nights dinner on the wed night instead or do they have the days printed on them (we got free meals when we booked)
we are staying at the cheyenne so can only eat in the se restaurants
Silver Spur Steakhouse - Restaurant Agrabah Café - Plaza Gardens Restaurants - Restaurant des Stars - Chuckwagon Café - La Cantina - Crockett%26#39;s Tavern - Annette%26#39;s Diner
-just wondered if anyone had any recommendations for dinner? ate in anettes diner last timeand it was ok, but haven%26#39;t tried the others...
thank you!

Not sure why you%26#39;d give up one of three days to go to Lille.
It%26#39;s a lovely city, don%26#39;t get me wrong, but it%26#39;s a long way from Disney, and a very, very long day trip, and doesn%26#39;t have a long list of %26quot;can%26#39;t miss%26quot; attractions.

I agree. Reims is IMO a much more interesting and attractive city and is only a short drive from Marne la Vallée. And I wonder if you have really seen everything that Paris has to offer? Paris is only a quick and simple ride on the RER from MlaV.
|||
Then you have Provins...Fontainebleau...Vaux le Vicomte and Blandy-les-Tours (seasonal)
There%26#39;s way too many interesting things to do closer to Disney.

we actually were going to go to Lille for a few days as we go to a christmas market every year, and it%26#39;s one we haven%26#39;t yet visited...we were thinking of getting the train down to Disney for the day for the kids,but it was going to be very expensive and we got such a great deal on disney we decided to do it the other way round.
Didn%26#39;t think it would be that out of our way seeing so we have to drive to and from calais anyway... we%26#39;ve been to Paris a few times, so not bothered about going back there, but willing to try something else, will look at the other places you suggested.
Lille looked quite good for the kids tho as it has a zoo, and that big wheel at the christmas market... sadly (our!) children are not that entertained by architecture alone!!!
|||
maybe i didn%26#39;t make myself clear either, it wouldn%26#39;t be a day trip as such... we are driving to and from calais to DLP, so it would either be our first day or our last....

Sorry, I must be thick.
What was it you wanted our advice on again?

Are mondays or wed generally quieter in disney?
can we use the free meal vouchers on any days or do they have the days printed on them
any of these restaurants any good....

%26lt;%26lt;Are mondays or wed generally quieter in disney?%26gt;%26gt;
Tuesdays or Thursdays are most likely the quieter days. Some extend weekend stays into Monday and some French schools are only in secession on Wednesday mornings making Wednesday a good day to miss school and go to the park.

Re restaurants- We ate in the Agrabah buffet and Silver Spur in August. Agrabah has a morroccan influence, as in Adventureland, with an Aladdin type theme/ decor. Lots of rooms, all different. Serve yourself buffet counter, so you can eat as much as you like. Different salads, fish, kebabs, lasagne,meats, so much I can%26#39;t remember it all. Also desserts and cakes, and pancakes with syrup. We had 1 soft drink each included in our vouchers, or bottled water.
Silver Spur is in Frontierland, table service, so you may have to wait at busy times. Our starters took quite a while to arrive in August, and then the main arrived quickly, so I hadn%26#39;t finished my starter! Mind you, it was a big caesar salad, large enough for a Main course really. My son had a prawn/ avocado/ tomato mousse.
For Mains, I had salmon, and son had steak. Dessert was cheesecake, and a chocolate fudge cake.
I paid 5€ for a glass of wine.( decent).
You would need to book Silver Spur, as it was busier than Agrabah.
Have you read the reviews on www. dlpfoodguide.com ?
I have also reviewed these 2 restaurants on TA with photos.
Plaza Gardens is also a buffet, some good reviews, more traditional food, good for kids probably.
Restaurant des stars is in the Studios park. It is the only buffet restaurant there, the others are mainly fast food. You may see Ratatuoille there.
I havn%26#39;t eaten in the others, so can%26#39;t comment. Annettes Diner is in the Village, outside the parks. Sometimes the servers are on roller skates.
The vouchers are not dated ( well, ours weren%26#39;t) so you can use them when you like. We had 1 voucher per day in Aug ( not free dining) and could use it for lunch or dinner, but could have used 2 per day if we wanted.
We really like Walt%26#39;s restaurant on Main Street which was covered by our half board plus vouchers, but maybe a bit fancy for children.

Don%26#39;t compare Annette%26#39;s Diner to Silver Spur or Agrabah. They are both far better restaurants.
The 3 course meal we had in Silver Spur would have cost a lot more than the £21 pp we paid, back home.At least double. We were totally stuffed afterwards. Took about 2 hrs, so was a nice rest as well.
Buffets are probably quicker because you don%26#39;t have to wait to be served.
I would definitely book in advance unless you are going at a quiet time.
