Finding the RER station at CDG

How difficult is it to find the RER station at CDG? Will be arriving on a Delta flight on a Saturday morning, and have limited French-speaking abilities. I%26#39;m hoping there will be easy-to-follow signs for Trains to Paris or RER Trains, something like that? Merci!

It%26#39;s easy enough. After immigration and customs, just look for %26quot;Gare%26quot; on the signs with a train symbol.

This is one of the best posts on CDG I have seen in awhile. Photos taken by our diligent Kerouac2 that show all the signage at the airport. It is all very clear,, and most is signed in ENGLISH as well as french.

All of Delta%26#39;s trans-Atlantic flights from the US will arive at CDG #2-E. Finding the inter-connected CDG #2 TGV/RER train station will be simply a matter of turning LEFT onto the main concourse when you exit through the French Customs check-point (after Luggage Collection)...and walking straight ahead until you bump into it...then follow prominent, clear signage down the escalators until you come to the RER portion of the train station. It%26#39;s not absolutely %26#39;..idiot-proof..%26#39;...but as-near-as-dammit to it. The walk along the main concourse to the entrances to the CDG2 GARE SNCF-RER train station is perhaps 500 yards or so.

If you plan to use a US-issued credit card to purchase your RER %26#39;B%26#39; ligne Tickets or transportation passes, the automatic ticket vending machines in the RER station will NOT accept US-issued credit cards. You must either use €uro denomination cash (ATMs located on main terminal concourse)....OR...use the manned ticket windows (which have dual-technology credit card readers) that WILL accept US-issued credit cards without difficulty.

Yes, it is, indeed, %26quot;easy enough%26quot; to get there.

Be advised, however, that, depending on where you land, it can be a bit of a hike, with stairways and escalators. There are elevators, if you recognize the signs and are not in such a huge hurry that you fail to notice them.

Note also that, if you have several bags, or one or more of a considerable size, getting through the turnstile can be problematic. Stand back and watch others so you%26#39;ll know what to do.

The route starts at CDG, so head for the end of the train, where the seats/area are better and more comfortable for you and your bags, and also near doors, rather than the central space/aisles.

And, be ready to get off as the train approaches your stop. The doorways tend to be congested and those getting on block those attempting to get off.

and you need coins not notes for the machines.

Does one catch the TGV (to Avignon) at this same location? Thanks.

The ticket price is 8.5 euro, correct?
