I%26#39;ll be staying in Nice at a conference for a few days shortly, and as I%26#39;m currently in training for a half marathon, I%26#39;d like to go for at run or two while I%26#39;m there.
I won%26#39;t have time to run a half marathon, but would like to keep myself ticking over by running something in the region of 4-5 miles.
I%26#39;ll be staying at the Novotel Nice Centre.
Any suggestions for a pleasant route, or good directions in which to head on leaving the hotel? I imagine running along the seafront would be quite pleasant: is that a reasonable thing to do?
Thanks

It is absolutely lovely and you would probably cross the path of joggers, cyclist, roller skaters, walkers-by, dogs, etc.
I would run towards the airport then back as I am not sure it is 5 miles away from the Novotel.

Its about 8km from your hotel to the edge of the airport/end of the promenade des anglais

An alternative is to turn left when you get to the seafront and run to Villefranche. About the same distance, not so crowded and with better views once you get out of Nice

Thanks for the tips. I managed to do about 5 miles in total, starting from the Novotel, running down to the sea front, and then along the front in the direction of the airport.
You%26#39;re right, it was a really lovely run, especially in the early morning light as the sun was still not quite above the horizon.
Sadly, however, I suspect it only burned a tiny fraction of all the calories I consumed at some of Nice%26#39;s lovely restaurants in the evening!

My husband runs and whilst we were in Nice last year he ran up Mount Boron and found it quite a challenge! You may need to get a bus part of the way up.
Views are magnificent and there are some great pathways to explore. Elton John knows a good thing when he sees it!
