Cadders, this is a question sure to raise the ire of nearly everyone on this forum with the exception of those with huge reserves of patience. You need to let us know your interest, budget, how long you%26#39;re staying and last but not least, get a guidebook or two and see what interests YOU and YOUR WIFE. Otherwise you%26#39;ll be going on a trip designed to please everyone except the person who is actually going on the trip (not to mention PAYING for the trip)

what happy said
plus -- 2 nights is really just one full day -- and so it is important that one full day work well for you

Well, we are both 28 and looking to do some tourist type attractions, maybe a art mueseum of some sorts but mainly take in as much of paris as possible. Budget wise doesnt really matter. Gonna be there all day tuesday all day wednesday and flying out 2100 on thursday. So i would call that pretty much 3 days.
What i was really looking for was some suggestions for nice restauants/bars that you can relax in and a for a few hours etc.
Staying in the latin quarter.
Thanks

Just walk lots!
Whilst I had been to Paris before I spent a day in Paris at the end of work trip recently and just did as Joni Mitchell said - %26quot;wandered down the Champs Elysees%26quot;. You can spend all day simply taking in the sites and sipping on a coffee or glass of wine! Sure its much beter if you have a week or two but we aren%26#39;t always that lucky!
The Luxemborg Gardens are delightful whether it is a lovely sunny day or not.
As for restaurants - we loved the %26quot;A La Petit Chaise%26quot; - 36 Rue de Grenelle.
The Metro makes it easy to get around - a few minutes to Notre Dame Cathederal and the Eiffel Tower, maybe a boat trip which only takes an hour or so but gives you a wonderful persepctive.
Hope this helps!

Check out the special exhibitions that will be on while you are there, notably at the Grand Palais (Renoir), the Musée du Luxembourg (Tiffany), or the Musée Rodin (Matisse %26amp; Rodin). If these interest you you might want to book online to avoid what will undoubtedly be long queues. Google will help yo find them.
Three wine bars in the general vicinity of the LQ: Taverne Henri IV on the Pont Neuf, l%26#39;Écluse on quai des Grands Augustins and Le Porte-Pot on a street in the 5th whose name I can never remember, but Google can.
The Cluny museum (Musée National du Moyen Age) with its beautiful Unicorn tapestries and the Sainte Chapelle are two %26quot;must sees%26quot; in the area, along with Notre Dame cathedral of course. If the weather is co-operative a stroll in the Luxembourg gardens and a wander round the Île St. Louis (not forgetting the obligatory Berthillon ice cream) would be worthwhile.

Hi -
You can qualify the question a hundred different ways, but the fact remains that you need to do the reading so you can select some things that truly are of interest to you, and your wife must do the same. There are enough regular posters here to plan 10,000 trips, but none of them would be tailor-made for the two of you. A husband who goes to the trouble of designing an itinerary that is letter perfect for his wife, and in Paris, has committed the ultimate in romantic gestures, and that will never be forgotten.
