Living in Villefranche-sur-Mer for 6 months

My husband and I are planning to live in the Villefranche-sur-Mer area for 4-6 months after we retire. We%26#39;re looking to rent an apartment or flat for this period. Has anyone done this and, if so, how did you find an apartment and were you able to obtain a monthly rate rather than weekly rental fee?

you can try www.holiday-rentals.com, or there are plenty of real estate agencies that you can visit. Likely that will be your best bet.

Probably the best place to start is Nice Matin%26#39;s Immobilier website.

You will need to put in %26#39;Location%26#39; (Rental) and the name of the town ( Villefranche-sur-Mer). You can refine your search by size of apartment etc. Rents are usually quoted per month. At least you will get the names of some estate agencies and you can contact them directly if necessary.

Long term rentals are quite normal in the South of France. I would imagine you can negotiate quite good terms - particularly in the low season - in the current economic climate.
