Montmartre / Paris 3 days

Hi. My husband and I are going to Paris in a couple of weeks (first time for me!). We will be staying in Montmartre. We have 3 days (1 of which is our anniversary). Can you recommend the %26#39;must see and do%26#39; given the short amount of time, and can you recommend some decent eating and drinking places (not too pricey, but not slumming it either - thinking especially of our anniversary evening). We will be experiencing the joys of Ryanair flights and therefore hand luggage only, so nothing too smart either :-) cheers Laura

We have had good down home meals at L%26#39;homme Tranquille in Montmartre -- it is near the Abbesses stop halfway down the hill on Rue des Martyrs. Get a reservation as it is small and often fills up.

For your anniversary you might get a dinner closer to the center -- and make sure you walk over and around Notre Dame after dark -- it really is a beautiful and romantic site

If the Louvre is open in the evening on one of your days that would be a good day to go.

Another idea for a unique experience. google hidden kitchen and see if that experience would appeal to you. it is a 10 course tasting meal in a private apartment in the center of Paris. they have 16 (generally English speaking guests for each dinner) The chefs are American expats.

another lovely way to spend an evening is a concert at Ste. Chappelle.

Another nice, smallish restaurant in Montmartre is Le Poulbot...

%26quot;Le Poulbot is located 3, rue Poulbot in, Paris, 75018. The restaurant menu offers French Bistro cuisine style. Signature dishes: Coq au vin, Foie Gras, Bouillabaisse...etc Available beverages at Le Poulbot are: Medoc, Pinot Noir, Gamay... etc. The average price for the Lunch is € 20 per person (drinks, tax and gratuities not included). Le Poulbot is open for lunch from: 11:30 - 14:30. The average price for the dinner is € 30 per person (drinks, tax and gratuities not included). Le Poulbot is open for dinner from: 19:30 - 22:30.%26quot;
