a nice view away but close to strasbourg?

Hello!

I had my heart set on visiting mont sainte odile because ive heard so much about it amazing view, but was sad to learn that the bus there only operates on the weekend and i am leaving friday.

thus, i am wondering if there are any other good day trip locations by train or bus that have an amazing view? im just a little tired of the city scape and would like to see something natural.

thanks for any tips!

The chateau of Haut Koenigsburg affords beautiful views of the countryside; we went by car last week, but I would imagine there are buses or tours from Strasbourg.

Here is the website of haut-koenigsbourg: haut-koenigsbourg.fr/en/informations/shuttle. But I%26#39;am afraid the shuttle bus between the railway station of Sélestat and the castle also only operates in the weekend now...

Depends on when you%26#39;ll be in Strasbourg. The shuttle to Haut-Koenigsbourg will operate on November 11th (public holiday).Have a look here: haut-koenigsbourg.fr/en/informations/shuttle

How about a vineyard walk or bike ride? I did this walk a while ago and there is a good view both up the valley to Munster and across the plain to Germany - http://www.turckheim.com/pdf/f-viti.pdf

It%26#39;s not far out of Colmar, but there may be others further north - there%26#39;s a long list on the tourist website …tourisme-alsace.com/fr/…
