I have a compromise solution!

You send me the money and I%26#39;ll visit and phone or write and tell you all about it. You can also have as many postcards as you%26#39;d like.

Fair deal?

:-)

Ahhh sarcasm.....from a pom no less....

bet half your family is over here :)

It%26#39;s hardly sarcasm! :-P

I%26#39;m not English.

*sigh* And it sounded like a fair offer!

|||

I have another problem...

So why not send me the money you would have spent having a blowout in Paris, and I will send you the money I would have spent having Christmas with my family in Canberra, and we%26#39;ll call it quits.

If the continental drift continues, perhaps we can moor Australia off the coast of Brittany in about 100 million years.

Did you see my post about Early Bird fares, they%26#39;re pretty cheap atm. But....yes....it still takes forever to get there......sigh.......

A weekend in Paris, oh wow wouldn%26#39;t that be so nice. Imagine how great it could be if you could have several long weekends there a year.....

Oh dear, now you have me dreaming....... why do we live at the end of the Earth?!LOL!

|||

My French/Belgian/Swiss friends all love that I come and visit them - but when I suggest they come here, %26quot;it%26#39;s too far%26quot;.

I have still not managed to establish why it%26#39;s further to Perth from Paris/Brussels/Geneva/Nice than it is to Perth from any of those cities.

Maybe someone on TA has a different map, and can therefore enlighten me.

|||

Paris Adicted - maybe you and I could meet up somewhere (la Galette de France in South Perth?) and pretend we were in Paris? I could even invite some French friends to sit at the next table, and if we shut our eyes we might just believe we were there!!

|||

They used to be much closer together back when the earth was flat...

|||

IrishRover - maybe my friends have flat earth maps. :)

I%26#39;m glad you were able to comprehend what I was trying to say. Thanks to the lack of edit facilities on TA, I have realised that what I wrote above makes no sense at all (not an unusual occurrence).

What I meant to say was:

I have still not managed to establish why it%26#39;s further to Perth from Paris/Brussels/Geneva/Nice than it is *from* Perth *to* any of those cities.
