Hi,
Probably not theplace t post this request but i%26#39;m at the end of my tether...
I have an apartment in Nimes and visited last week. I found that some else (a neighbour) has managed to get hold of a remote for the secure parking and is parking in my space. He simply refuses to move and is very confrontational.
What are my rights, what can I do to move him legally?
Any help gratefully recieved
J.

That sounds a tricky problem, my commiserations. Do you speak French? That%26#39;s always a help.
Is this a space or an actual garage? I%26#39;m assuming there can be no doubt that this is definitely yours; in our block, the numbers on the garage doors bear no relation to the number of the garage %26#39;plot%26#39; number on the plans.
Is your apartment part of a coproprieté? If so there should be a committee (conseil syndicale), one of whom might be able to help you. Also, the agency (syndique) you pay your fees to for cleaning etc might also be able to help.
There should be a full list of rules and regs which all owners should abide by, although this must be against every rule I can think of, if you have it in black and white that this is your property. If you don%26#39;t have one, the conseil syndicale should give you a copy.
Failing all attempts at discussion to resolve your problem, a registered letter to be signed for (accusé a réception), might be a good idea, stating your grievance and what you expect and when, quoting the actual part of the rules and regs. You might also try speaking to someone from your local police; any problems at our place, and friends say go and tell the police, you shouldn%26#39;t have to stand for that. We never have, and don%26#39;t know how effective it would be!
Other than that, all I can think of is going to law; however, this would be very expensive and time-consuming.
Good luck in resolving your problem; I sympathise!
