Hello,
I%26#39;ll be very nice if I could get some feed back on the following hotels for my trip to Paris (first time) we want to be in a quiet street near the metro and restaurants near by....
Relais Bosquet tour eiffel (7th arr)
Residence Henri IV (Latin Quartier)
Hotel Castex (Marais)
Hotel du Pantheon (i think Latin Quartier)
Hotel Muguet (7th arr.)
Thank you very much

You will likely get more responses if you give us the full street addresses and closest métro station if you know it for each hotel. I know I could go and google all those whose exact location I do not know, but I%26#39;m not going to...

I am interested in Henry IV, but I haven%26#39;t figured out a way to make a reservation, other than by a phone call.

I know will get the address

Hotel Pantheon is in a great location,, right across the street from the Pantheon,, 1/2 block to RER Luxembourg station( and park of course). Street is quiet. It is in the Latin Quarter, but not in the super busy touristy crowded section.,, there are a few nice cafes etc in area,, we stayed right next door at the Hotel Des Grand Hommes( owned and run by same people) and loved it.
Some of your other choices sound great too.

You really have hotels in three completely different areas here. If I were you I%26#39;d make the choice based on what kind of area you want to stay in rather than the hotel itself. The two in the 5th are pretty much in the center of the great tourist melting-pot that the Latin Quarter, the part of the 5th close to the river and west of Jussieu, has become — and in a sense always was. The area will be busy all day and well into the night. The upside of this is that a number of places you will likely want to visit are within walking distance. One downside is that neither, and in particular the Panthéon, has great métro access. There is certainly no shortage of cafés and restaurants in the area many of which are good and some good value as well.
The two in the 7th are in an area that is very different, very much quieter and with many fewer cafés and restaurants close by. The area will be particularly quiet at night when compared to the two in the 5th.Of the major tourist sites only the Eiffel Tower and Invalides are within easy walking distance. Métro access to the rest of the city is not great from this area.
The Castex is in an area that is a bit like a hybrid of the other two. It is at the less touristy end of the 4th and (as far as this makes sense...) on the less touristy side of rue St. Antoine. It will certainly be quieter than the 5th and in a somewhat more obviously Parisian/less tourism-oriented area. It is a short walk to the islands, the Place des Vosges, and some of the museums of the Marais area. it is also a good base from which to explore some of the less visited but very worthwhile places in the 11th and 12th. There are plenty of good cafés and restaurants nearby and a wide selection of non-touristy shops. It has easy access to four métro lines.
My pick would be the last. Others may feel quite differently. (I tried to be objective but my bias probably showed anyway.) But I am not you. You might prefer either of the other areas and that%26#39;s just fine. There is simply no one area in Paris that is the right fit for every visitor.
I have made no recommendation as to any of the hotels. The only one I ever stayed in was the Panthéon and that was quite a few years ago.

Don%26#39;t be put off staying at Hotel du Pantheon. I stayed at the Relais Saint Jacques a couple of streets nearby, and it was no problem for me to walk down to the Seine. Many people complain that it%26#39;s a very long walk. It%26#39;s approximately 20 minutes. As mentioned earlier the RER is also closeby.

I beg to differ with Irish on this,, the area directly around the Hotel du Pantheon is niether busy or noisy,,, especially at night,, it is very quiet. The busy and noisy area of the Latin Quarter is a 5-10 minute walk downhill,, if one chooses not to walk down boulevard St Michel.
I suggest you do google street look or what ever they call it,, you will see that the hotel is indeed in a quiet area,, but close to action.
